Living through abstract! Traver Dodorye

Abstract painting is like that realm of life that continues. When I am painting on a shirt or a canvas or a piece of fabric or drawing, I am thinking about either what I've been through or what the world has been through. Things like history, society, governmental things, poverty all fall into my art in someway. I try to do things that can relate to my audience. I love what I do and will never stop doing it! Day in and day out when I go to work I am faced with reality. Reality of success or failure I ask myself these people who work here with me would I consider them all as failures or those who are trying to handle responsibilities? It is not really my concern on how they live they life or what tax bracket they fit in, but sometimes I wonder. I feel like when you get to comfortable on where you stand in life you seem to adapt on what you have and lower your chances on becoming who you want to be. We as human being at time find ourselves so stuck on living paycheck to paycheck. What risk are you really taking by being comfortable at a regular 9-5 job? Can you imagine yourself doing this for the next 5 years? Do you love what you do? It's 2013 and I feel like people should start doing more things to be all they can be in this life. You have one chance to be on this earth so why not be all you can be?
