New work by Traver Dodorye

Dodorye take Miami Art Show at LMNT 3/5/15

We all have faced fears and things that we try to achieve in life. As an artist I know success isn't easy to come by, I try to create work in which people can relate to. In this show I brought some pieces that played a big toll on my life in the past 5-7 years. The support that I had that night was truly appreciated and It's not easy to find true supporters. The experience that LMNT offered was so great and has opened my eyes so I can hold my own shows in the near future.

Stolen Picasso Recovered In U.S.

Port authorities in Newark, New Jersey have seized a thought to be lost Picasso painting. The artwork titled La CoiffeuseThe Hairdresser in English — was painted by the Spanish artist in 1911, and had been missing from the Paris Musée d’Art Moderne storage room since 2001. The oil-on-canvas was discovered on its way to a climate-controlled Long Island storage facility, FedExed from a sender in Belgium named only as “Robert.” To avoid detection, perpetrators had labeled the priceless artwork as a $37 Christmas gift, ironically arousing suspicion from inspectors. La Coiffeuse was last appraised in 2001 at a value of $2.5 million USD, however the piece is believed to be worth much more now.
