Queens Kids Learn to Recreate Jeff Koons’ Artwork

Pop-art superstar Jeff Koons can add another accolade to his long list of accomplishments as he recently became the source of inspiration for an after-school art class for young children, mostly between the ages of three and seven. Having visited the All Saints Episcopal Church in Sunnyside, Queens, the Daily News described kids recreating various pieces from Koons’ acclaimed collection, including his giant Play-doh mold, balloon dogs and foil reproductions of his Jim Beam J.B. Turner Train. The class is also hoping to take a field trip to visit the artist’s massive retrospective at the Whitney Museum. At $35 USD-per-session, would you sign your child up for this class?
