Houston Rockets star James Harden could be sporting the Three Stripes as soon as this upcoming season. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, adidas has offered Harden — whose contract with Nike recently expired — a deal worth $200 million USD over 13 years, effectively locking the NBAer up through the rest of his career. As Rovell points out, the $200 million USD is especially noteworthy considering the German sportswear giant paid just twice that amount to be the NBA’s official uniform supplier through the 2016/17 season.
Nike has until the end of next week to match adidas’s offer.
