When 4-year-old Myla asked her mom,
artist Mica Angela Hendricks, if she could draw the bodies onto her mom’s portraits, Hendricks was skeptical at first. “I had just ordered a new sketchbook and was trying to get away with doodling in it while she was engrossed in her own drawing when she asked if she could draw the body onto the head I had drawn,” Hendricks, 39, told
GoodMorningAmerica.com. “I balked internally, played it cool and went along... but it ended up looking amazing.” Hendricks couldn’t believe how beautiful the drawings turned out and is completely in awe of her daughter’s imagination. The tiny illustrator takes her art seriously, calling it her “job,” although the other day she told her mom she’d also like to be a circus clown or superhero. And forget about making suggestions for her drawings. “She usually ignores them,” Hendricks said. “[She] does whatever she wants.”
