Dave Kinsey “Cushion of Memory” Exhibition @ Library Street Collective Recap

While Dave Kinsey‘s portfolio encompasses design work for some of lifestyle and music sector’s most illustrious — such as the ubiquitous DC Shoes logo, The Black Eyed Peas Elephunk album icon, and N.E.R.D.’s “brain” logo — his own artistic foray often look to poignant colors and pop iconography in its abstract renderings. For Kinsey’s latest show “Cushion of Memory,” the Los Angeles-based artist takes cues from Sequoia National Park — near his West Coast residency — and its moving landscape. Drawing from various tones and textures from nature’s finest offerings, Kinsey present an impressive body of work which he recently showcased at Detroit’s Library Street Collective. Check our the recap images above and be sure to check out the artworks for yourself if you happen to be in Motor City. “Cushion of Memory” will be on display till November 8.
